The first one is aptly titled “We Built This Shit”. No explanation needed really. Pop culture wouldn’t exist without the influence of Black people. This playlist celebrates everything from classic rock, country, dance, and everything in between. Everything from Sister Rosetta Sharpe, Screamin Jay Hawkins and Mariah Carey to Diana Ross and Timisarocker. Not only do Black Lives Matter, but so do our art and contributions.

Next up is a tribute to Wakanda & Chadwick Boseman. Wakanda and afrofuturism is largely responsible for the idea of Ariesfirebomb/The Haus of Firebomb. I wanted a place where Black folks could be themselves and revel in all of their glory. To reclaim the fun, mystical and creative beings that we have always been. To celebrate Black queerness, Black femmes, and all types of Blackness under one roof and working together. This playlist captures that with sounds from Africa ranging from afro beat to afro house. I won’t bore the 5 people that read this about what’s been up with me this year and why I sort of just gave up on the website. I’ll get into that later when the podcast FINALLY launches.
